Objekt restaurace Rekovice s číslem popisným 2 je pro obec jeden ze symbolů. Narodil se zde Antonín Bača Horečka, který se nejvíc zasloužil o vznik obce Trojanovice a její samosprávu v roce 1748.
Před dvěma lety se zastupitelé obce Trojanovice shodli na odkoupení objektu se záměrem rekonstrukce a provozování obecní restaurace. Historická budova byla postupně očištěna, byly navrženy nové stropy v sále a nový krov. Původní klenby a kamenné stěny byly zachovány a doplněny soudobými materiály.
Nové okenní otvory lákají turisty dovnitř, a přitom z pozice interiéru je přízemí objektu otevřeno do přírody. Velkoformátové zasklení směrem do lesa působí jako velká televizní obrazovka. Koncept interiéru je založen na otevřenosti, např. s průhledem do kuchyně a pozorováním přípravy pokrmů. V patře se nachází šest pokojů pro ubytování hostů.
Součástí restaurace je dřevěná brána a dřevěné posezení v přírodě.
Rekonstrukce restaurace Rekovice byla financována z prostředků obce za účelem provozování obecního hostince, který bude sloužit také jako kulturní stánek obce Trojanovice. V minulém roce byl svépomocí vybudován v blízkosti restaurace lesní bufet (z původních stavebních buněk) a také dětské přírodní hřiště.
The old Rekovice restaurant, house No. 2, is of symbolic importance to the community, being the birth place of Antonín Bača Horečka who was the founding father of the village of Trojanovice and its subsequent administrative independence in 1748. Two years ago the village council decided to purchase the property, intending to reconstruct it and open it again as the village Inn and restaurant. The historic building was gradually stripped down, new ceilings were designed for the main downstairs hall, and a new roof. The original vaults and the interior stone walls were retained, and finished using contemporary materials. The new windows are inviting to passing tourist, and from the inside nature is freely accessible. The large scale glazed windows face the forest and appear like a large TV screen. The design principle is that of an open space, with the kitchen for example being open plan so the food preparation is clearly visible to all. Upstairs are six guest bedrooms. The premises include a large wooden gate and a outdoor seating with wooden tables and benches. The Rekovice Restaurant Reconstruction project was financed from public funds by the village, to function as the Village Inn and Restaurant as well as a cultural showcase for the village of Trojanovice. During the past year the original portable building site cabins have been converted, by local effort, into a woodland buffet, together with an open air children’s play area.
